VERY SPECIAL THANKS and much appreciation goes out to CSA for taking the time to visit and run sessions over the last two weeks.

Matt and Jake did a wonderful service and honored us as our guests.  I felt the sessions went extremely well with a lot of useful and practical information shared.  The kids really enjoyed and walked away better from it!!

Over the next few days they will be reaching out by email or phone to several of you that are not with a club to see if you are interested in specific spots that they are in need of filling.

If it is something you are not interested in just say so…but do seriously consider it as a great opportunity to improve in the soccer community!!!  It will take the level of play higher and in the right direction.

If you (or your child rather) are interested in playing at a club feel free to contact them also.

The site for CSA is: (on the left hand side click “N. Charlotte/Cabarrus Programs” for the “North” region which is where they are located)

http://www.charlottesocceracademy.com/

Any questions about CSA, club soccer, OR ANYTHING in general, as always, feel free to reach out to one of your coaches, or me!!!

Once again, Thanks CSA and to all the parents and kids!!

Coach Ken and the OCSL Crew!!!

Eagles game night success

posted Jul 11, 2011 4:49 AM by Ken Correll

We had a lot of fun and got to see some good soccer on our Eagles expedition.

With around 50 kids and a multitude of parents it was a good atmosphere and fellowship.

The kids looked good at halftime... even if the Eagles were not as organized as they should have been.  Just for them to go down to the field and kick around was fun---who doesn’t love playing barefoot!!

The tailgating to all those that came up was a lot of fun also.  Good food, good friends and good conversations… it just doesn’t get any better!!

The Lady Eagles tied 0-0 and the men fell to the Kickers 2-1.  It was a great experience and a chance for the ids to be exposed to some local professional soccer.

OPEN FIELD and TEAMS UPDATED

posted Jun 14, 2011 10:19 AM by Ken Correll   [ updated Jun 15, 2011 9:03 AM ]

We will be having our OPEN FIELD this Saturday (6/18/11)---this is NOT required—just our way of welcoming everyone and strongly encouraging the NEW players to come out.

What this is exactly, is a chance for you to come out and see the location (address in email), kick around on the field (so bring boots to run around on the field), meet some of the coaches and meet some of the other players.

We are going to ask you try to come during these times:

·         Little group 10am to 11am

·         Big group 11:10 to 12:00

·         High School 12:00 to 1pm

You are welcome anytime during these hours but in order to see the kids in your age group it is best to come during specified times.

***NOTE***

Teams and practice nights now posted under DOCUMENTS link to left--then open "2011_Teams_Combined" PDF.
